Join the Faversham Natural History Group on of our regular walks looking at nature and wildlife in our area.

We will take a circular route around the Park, lasting about two hours, beginning at the entrance on the Eastling Road, downhill from Painters Forstal village. We will be looking at the various plants, trees, insects, fungi possibly and birds, possibly, and trying to identify them.

Dusk will be approaching so it may be sensible to bring a torch for use in the darker parts of the woodland.

Please wear shoes/boots suitable for a parkland and be prepared for a few slight uphills.

Please let us know if you want to join us.

A free event.

Meeting point and Parking – By kind permission of the Painters Forstal Community Hall, we will be able to park there, post code ME13 0EN. It is possible to park on the roads near the Alma, but please DO NOT park in the layby near the entrance to the Park. It is clearly marked.

For those parking on the roads by the pub, or walking/cycling, the entrance to Lorenden Park itself is located on Eastling Road on the left going downhill from the Alma pub.
